Jefferson Street United Merchants Partnership presents its own red carpet version of the Academy Awards. It is a spectacular evening of honors and elegance as friends, business owners, and fans of Historic Jefferson Street gather to celebrate the holidays.

The Peoples Choice Awards Ceremony honors the best restaurant, the best hair stylist, and the best of everything from fish to chicken in the historic area. Heritage Award – this award category was created by the JUMP board of directors in October 2007 to honor a person or organization that has made significant contributions to supporting and honoring the history and heritage of Jefferson Street and the African American community.
